- Online Registration
- We have implemented a new online registration this year that requires you to log on using an email address
(your user-id) and a password.
- Why? The main reason is security: the old system communicated information via email, which left it
open both to Spam attacks, and to the possible interception of personal information.
- Why else? Since we can verify your identity, we can use the system to allow you to check the status of
your registration, send you reminder messages, and in the future offer other features like allowing you fill out self-assessment and
other forms on line.
- How do I get an account? If you previously registered for MMR (and your name was in the directory), we created
one for you and sent you an email with the password.
- What if I'm new, or I didn't get the email, or I don't want to use that email address? Use the button below
to request a new password sent to the email address of your choice.
- What if I forget my password or don't like the one you gave me? You can always go to the registration main page,
http://registration.musicalretreat.org where you can change your password (if you remember the old one) or ask the system
to email you a new one (if you don't).
- Registration and Fees
- Applications must include the deposit of $125. A registration will only be considered
complete when both the form and the deposit have been received.
The application date will be determined by the postmark of the deposit.
- Address to send deposit will appear on the confirmation page and email (online registration) or on
the paper registration form.
- Two participants requesting to room together will be placed in housing according
to the postmark date of the deposit of the second roommate to register.
Both deposits must be made before housing can be assigned.
- All fees are due in full on June 1, 2008 including registration,
tuition, housing and meals. If you register online, you will be reminded by email.
- Wait Lists & Section Caps
- All sections in the large ensembles will have numerical caps.
This includes the orchestra, band, chorus and flute choir.
When the sections are filled, the registrar will establish waiting
lists on a first-come, first-served basis.
People who have been wait-listed will be notified of
their status by June 15, 2008 and given the option to remain on the list.
A full refund will be sent to those withdrawing their application at this time.
The deposit will be held for those electing to stay on the wait list.
A full refund will be made to those on the wait list for whom there
is no space when MMR begins.
- Orchestra Brass, Winds, and Percussion
- The Lottery for placement of Brass and Winds and Percussion in the Orchestra will be
conducted on July 1. To be included, applicants must have submitted
their self-evaluation form and paid all fees.
- Scholarships
- May 1, 2008 is the last date for applying for financial aid.
Applicants must submit registration form and deposit prior to requesting
financial aid.
- Financial aid recipients will be notified on May 17, 2008.
- Withdrawls & Refunds
- If you notify us by May 1, 2008, you will get a full refund of all fees paid.
- If you notify us that you will not come between May 2 and June 1,
all fees paid will be refunded minus $75.
- Except in the case of illness or other problem that the Registrar deems unavoidable,
no fees will be refunded to anyone notifying us after June 1, 2008
that they will not participate in MMR 2008.
